Owen Woolgar

Owen is Head of Ogier Regulatory Consulting in Europe. He is a Chartered Accountant and regulatory consultant, with more than 18 years' experience in the offshore financial services industry. Owen is an AML/KYC specialist who has led large and complex remediation projects, regulatory due diligence and local regulatory advisory work for financial services clients.

Background and experience

Before joining Ogier in 2023 Owen was a director at one of the big four accounting firms. He worked in advisory practice where he specialised in a wide range of regulatory consulting engagements.

A graduate of the University of Nottingham, with a BSc (Hons) in Applied Biology, he still retains an interest in the human side of financial services. Owen regularly releases blogs and industry updates on matters relevant to the regulatory environment in the Channel Islands and beyond.

Owen works closely with regulatory experts, technology providers and service delivery centres to to develop genuinely sustainable outcomes for clients.
